How big is the file on the HDD?

This need to be under the size of the Disc that you are attempting to save to.

Also Movie Maker isn't the ideal thing to burn to Optical Media from as it doesn't support the different Optical media Types. Yo can save this file to your HDD and then use a Conversion Application to burn it to your Preferred Optical Media.

So if you where to say have made a 8.5 GIG File you can use something like DVD Shrink to allow it to fit onto a 4.7 GIG Single Layer DVD.

Movie Maker dosen't make real movie

by Vzard In reply to Movie Maker wont let me s ...

Like what the title said, Movie Maker dosen't make real movie, it can make .wmv video project which can be copy to blank DVD disk for reserve, but can not paly on DVD palyer.

You can use a 3rd party Video Converter + DVD Creator which can convert and burn regular video file (like MOvie Maker .wmv) into DVD structure, then write to blank DVD disk.
