Movie Making

By BorgInva ·
How can I simply create a movie (for DVD viewing) with a simple menu that allows the, er, watcher of the movie to choose a scene? Or at the very least, be able to fast forward to the next scene, like how we can with movies.
See, I want to make a DVD of pictures and videos, broken up into 6 scenes so no one has to watch it all at once and be able to easily fast forward to the next scene, as we can with DVD movies.
Know what I mean?
How can I add in those scene breaks for use with the FF or RR buttons?
How about a menu to select that scene?

Windows Movie Maker 2.1 (XP SP2)
Nero Burning ROM 6

OK firstly I've never used anything MS to make a Movie or DVD Series of Clips & Images.

I've always used a Nix to do this with as it's easier to do and requires far smaller system resources to achieve better results.

However every DVD Movie is broken up into chapters that will be the next picked when you press the Next Button on the Remote, the same applies to the Back Button though in this case it should take you to the start of the current chapter. Fast Forward & Rewind should work OK no matter how you assemble the production but if you want to use the Next or Back Buttons then you need chapters.

So I would assemble the chapters by themselves and then add them together in order in the Movie Making Package to give you the full functionality of the remote.

HAL, adding chapters? You saying if I create everything as different projects and then combine them, that would be considered chapters?

I do know that Nero offers this function. I can't remember exactly where the option is, as I don't have Nero on my computer right now, but the option is along the lines of 'create scenes' or possible, even, automatically create scenes. I hope that helps - if you have Nero, that is.
