Use File and Transfer settings wizard.

To move files in general use File Transfer Wizard as cm5400 suggests

To move outlook info:

Click on File -> Import and export. Follow the steps. You can export any folders, inbox, outbox, sent items, calendar and contacts to a file.

Transfer that file to the new computer and choose File->Import and export again on outlook and import all the files to corrosponding folders on the new computer.

Forget the FTP and just pick up a Crossover Cable and do as the above two answers have suggested. That way you keep control of your data and settings and don't have to worry about possible hijacks in the uploading and downloading.

All the answers are correct but the easiest way is to do the export from Outlook and do the file and setting transfer wizard and save it to ether your harddrive or a USB drive. I say to the hard drive but if you do not have enough space use a thumb drive or copy it directly to it. No hassle with cables or finding Internet storage. Just plug the thumb drive in and transfer.

I would just copy everything to a thumb drive from your old laptop. You can always use a product called laplink, but for documents and outlook .pst's it might be overkill.
