Moving Exchange Server 5.5 to New Domain

My PDC “Microsel” crashed and there is not a BDC that can be promoted. The exchange server sat in the Microsel Domain and I was hoping to move it to a new Domain, “Workgroup” which has a healthy PDC and BDC.

I have lost admin controll of exchange, because it cannot find a PDC to attach to.

How can I back up the data bases, remove the Exchange install, and than re-install using the new PDC and than restore the data bases?

Is this the best way of trying to move Exchange to a new Domain?
