Moving From NT 4.0 PDC to Win2k Adv Srv

Upgrade Question here.

I have an NT 4.0 Domain with a PDC and 3 member servers running Win2k, no BDC’s (I know, I didn’t design it).

We purchased a new server with Win2k ADV SRV pre-installed. I want to migrate from 4.0 to 2000 without upgrading the PDC or recreating the domain.

Can I bring up the ADV SRV as a domain controller, sync with the PDC, and then remove the PDC?

Or does anybody have a better solution?
