MOZILLA FIREFOX CANNOT BROWSER CANNOT LOAD ADOBE

By Eddie, GH ·
I have recently downloaded and installed Adobe Reader 8, and I browse the Net using Mozilla. Whenever I click on a link that opens a pdf. file, the Mozilla window is unable to download the file for viewing.

What could be the cause? I did not have this problem when I was using Adobe reader 7

One suggestion

by w2ktechman In reply to MOZILLA FIREFOX CANNOT BR ...

is to open Acrobat reader, go to edit -- preferences -- Internet
change the setting from opening in a browser.
now acrobat reader will open when a .pdf is selected.
Sometimes I have run into this problem on different systems/configurations. Usually, unless they need it to open in a browser, this is the workaround that we use here.

One thing I noticed when I installed

the new reader is that it didn't change the file associations. Maybe it's related.
