I am looking for a simple, yet accurate way to (example: a survey developed in an access database - need a button to open a seperate survey and enter information and save, close, then go back to the location in the previous survey.

Is the information in one table or more?

Also do you already have a form built for the additional information? If so then select the Forms object on the left, highlight the main form and click Design. If you want to use a command button, then in Design view of the form, click the Command Button and it will step you through process of opening up the second form.
