Is there a way to create an address book file (pref. an .mdb) from a database in Access?

I don't have Access installed on this particular PC so I can't check it but I'm sure there is an 'Export' utility that allows you to create a CSV file based on your selected field criteria. Simply 'Import' the newly created CSV file back into your address book.

What OZ just said it does work. I just tried it here myself and works great. I am using Office XP.

If this is for use in Outlook then the best thing to do is first export a contact that you already have in Outlook as a MS Access database file.

File > Import/Export > Export to a file > MS Access.

Select you Contacts folder.

Save as Filename.mdb

(This will give you all the proper column headers.)

Then, after editing you .mdb file in Access. Use the reverse order to import it.
