MS Access Error Message

How do I address the following error message:

"Scaling a decimal value resulted in data truncation."

The error means that a value with a decimal point had too many numbers to the right of the decimal. That is, the size of the field does not have enough room to display the entire value.

Increase the field size (or limit the allowable number of characters to the right of the decimal) - Design View > Field Size.

I suggest you round it at some point. Does anyone really need to know what something is down to the fraction of 1/1000000000?

Is this happening on input, or when running a query?

The reason it's occurring has been explained, but what you do about it depends on if you NEED the full value or is a rounded value will work, or if this indicates that something else is wrong (ie, if the numbers in the calculation should never result in decimal values).
