MS Access Question

By pcash ·
I use MS Office 2002 Access
Is there a way to secure/lock/password protect my Tables from other being able to modify them without having to building a user/group.

Is there any program that will run an access database so that you don't have to buy Access for everybody that needs to run the program

Thanks,

if you get the development version of access you get the runtime for access and can turn your access application into a native windows app.
you can use windows security to protect your tables. allow RO access to those you do not wish to allow to make changes. note that the database application must reside in a single place (not multiple copies) in order to protect it. and this solution is still not foolproof.
