MS Outlook 2002 Converts Charecters

By wrenken1 ·
Hi all,

I am having an unusual problem. I have a user that says that her Outlook emails often have punctuation changed when she receives replies. For example she will use a dash, and when it comes back, it is substituted by a question mark. This has happened several times. The changes always come back with a question mark instead of the proper charecter. Has anyone ever heard of this occurring? Thanks!

Ken

Stationary...

If the user is using Stationary, have her turn it off, close Outlook, then try again. Also see what editor she is using. MS Word, Richtext, and try different settings here.

It's a problem with the character set

It's also a problem on TR ? anything created using a word processor causes the same problem for extended characters.

For example, the sentence above was created in OpenOffice, so the "–" between "TR" and "anything" appears as a question mark.
