Ms. Outlook and Ms. Exchange Server 5

I have LAN in my office, and use ms.outlook 97 for my email and the server is ms.Exchange 5
everytime i received email from somewhere, my email hang and if i press ctrl + alt + del
“microsoft outlook not responding”
anybody now for this problem ?
