MS Outlook password protected

By poto4 ·
One of network users is prompted to enter User Name, Password and Domain Name every time he logs in MS Outlook. (Outlook 2000, Win 2000)
I need him to log in directly without having to type in all the above.

Thank you

Is the user a member of the domain where the Exchange server exists? If not, then he will be required to authenticate to the domain.

If his account does exist in the domain, then make sure that his account is associated correctly with the mail box.

If the user is not logging into the domain, then you should give him instructions and/or training on logging into the domain.

I have been trying to find a resolution to this problem. Only a few users are required to type in user name and password upon opening Outlook. I have looked at the properties and have found nothing to indicate a password authentication requirement. Group policies have not changed. Does any one have any ideas??
