MS Outlook Won’t Save Viewed Mail

Microsoft Outlook won’t send viewed mail to the deleted items folder. I can’t find any function or place in the program to make MS Outlook put viewed mail into that folder. I can’t make a rule about it either. All mail that isn’t viewed goes there but not any other mail, without actually manually sending it there. Anyone have any ideas about this problem? Thanks, Eric.
