Any information you could give would be greatly appreciated. We are having trouble connecting to certain websites through Proxy Server 2. These sites can be accessed if one attempts to access the site directly from the Proxy Server itself. However, if one tries to access one of these sites on the inside of the proxy, one is not able to connect. The only difference seems to be connecting through the proxy server. This does not come up often but, often enough to be a problem.
One of thesites brought to our attention (IS Director) is www.webanalytics.com and then click “online focus group.” This brings up a log in screen and when one tries to log in, one receives the error “Trying TCP connection to www.webanalytics.com:7777 ” “TCPconnection Failed.” However, if one tries to log in from the Proxy Server itself (which of course has a direct connection through the PIX firewall), one logs in with no problem.
All the Proxy settings appear fine and we only have this problem with certain sites. Please help?
P.S. Our graphics department is compiling a list of other sites they have not been able to connect to from work’s NT40/Cisco network.
