MS-Word 2000 freezes on start on Win98

When I double click on MS-Word 2000 it shows Word 2000 logo and then freezes. If I press Ctrl+Alt+Del I get an error msg which says “Insufficient system resources pls free up some more system resources”.. After this I have to power off PC. MS-Word has always worked ok before with Win98. I have tried a complete uninstall & reinstall. Also deleted the office key in registry,nothing worked. Any suggestions???
