MS Word Vertical Text

By Jim Philpot ·
When I highlight a column of vertical text in Word (position cursor at beginning of text I want, Hold ALT, mouse over text I want)then right click on the selected text to choose COPY, it unselects everything except the first line of text.
I had this problem before (8years? ago) and the fix was a setting in another program, but alas I've forgotten what that setting was. This is the first time since (and a dozen different PC's) that it's happened.
Ctrl+C still works as it's supposed to.

I don't know about any program setting, but the easiest way around the problem is to select your text, then pres sand hold down the CONTROL key and press the C key (ctrl+c) which will copy your selected text. Then you can paste it where ever you need to .

I also don't know about any other program setting. However, usually for problems like this, Help--Detect and Repair usually works (installation CD will be needed).

There is no need to Hold ALT key while highlighting a column of vertical Text, you may right click on the highlighted text and should be able to copy with out any issue.
