Last night, my fiance told me that messages were being deleted, reset, and moved on his MSN account all day. He said he checked the logs and my IP was showing as having done all this activity. I never did anything to his account, but he doesn’t believe me, and is pretty pissed off, obviously, since I’m telling him I didn’t do it and my IP is showing as the one that did. When I asked MSN Tech Support about this, they said it was an issue with the account not being in sync with the server.
Question is … does ANYONE have ANY idea how or why my IP is showing as having done this, and why his account went so screwy yesterday? The day before, he wasn’t receiving any e-mails I sent him from my hotmail account; now yesterday, he said that e-mails that were read were suddenly marked as unread, they were movied from the trash to the inbox, etc.
Could this be a virus? I run Norton Antivirus every night, and update the virus defs daily. I also have SpyBot – S&D and SpywareBlaster installed and running. Any ideas at all???
