MSN Messenger error 80090305
"Signing in to MSN Messenger failed because the service is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. 80090305."
This has only happened with version 7. I was using version 6.* and a message appeared saying I must upgrade to continue using Messenger.
After the upgrade was complete, I could use it fine. The problem has only occured in the last 3 weeks or so. In that time, Zone Alarm firewall has been upgraded to the latest version: 6.0.667.000. I have removed and readded Messenger as a trusted app but the issue remains. If I shut down Zone Alarm and the issue remains. I repair Messenger and the issue remains. If I uninstall and reinstall versioion 6.3 it says I must upgrade - I chose to do so once more in case a flaw had been fixed but the same thing happens.
I have searched for this error and found the following advice:

I have tried this and nothing changes.
Any fixes for this one could be sent to Microsoft, because they do not have any listing for this error.
Best regards,
