MSN without MSN Explorer

I want to log on to the internet with out using MSN explorer. It would be a lot easier to just click on Internet Explorer and log on to a regular connection with my MSN ISP. I already tryed a custom connection with my MSN Explorer numbers, user name, and password. It dialed the number but didn’t log in. Can anybody help?
