MSSQL - 'DTSRun' is not recognized as an internal or external command

By zerosentiment ·
I have a script that uses a bat file to run a SQL report using DTSRun. This function is no longer working and when i try to run it from the command shell i get the error;

'DTSRun' is not recognized as an internal or external command,operable program or batch file.

If anyone knows how to sort this out it would really help.

Try this out for your issue....

You probably need to have that path set on the server machine. Or try putting full path such as xp_cmdshell 'x:\mssql\binn\dtsrun.....'

Put the command in the directory of
"\winnt\system32" and see if that works for you.

Your post gave me an idea and it worked.

put in an extra line on the script to CD to the \mssql\binn\ folder first and then run the DTSRun command.

Thanks a lot!
