MSWord-textbox, links

By e6cw ·
We produce manuals for instructors and students and have over 500 lessons and 10 courses. Different courses may share the same lesson. Each lesson has a core document and multiple files are linked to this document.

When we have a change, we insert a text box at the bottom of the page under the footer. The problem comes in when we update the link the text box goes away.

How can we update the link without the textbox disappearing?

Quick remark:
Why a text box?
If you need to call attention to it, have you tried just formatting the link with a border, rather than putting it in a text box?

The textbox shows the change # for that page. It's not the link that I want noticed it's the change # in the textbox.
