multi boot of win95,WinMe,win2k, WinNT

By reddyrkr ·
I would like to have multi boot for 95,WinMe,NT and Win2k. I want to have 95 for my daughter games. WinMe for my digital stuff. NT for some type of app's and 2k for other type of app's.

I have HD's of 40 and 30 GB. so space is not a problem. I installed Dos in first 1 GB of HD. next win95. Trying to install WinMe on 3rd partition overwriting win95 o/s.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The problem with this type of install is that WIN ME is considered a upgrade to 95,this possibly could work by installing Win ME as a fresh install compared to a upgrade installation.
Is the OS disk an upgrade or full OS system disk

To install all Operating System in different partitions you will need to use a FAT file system partition to install WINNT 4,it will not recognize a fat 32 file system ,therefore you will get a error when running setup.
You may have to use a third party softwareto install the operating systems such as Partition Magic or System Commander

See the following sites for dual booting

Save yourself a lot of time and aggrevation and get System Commander as briefly noted in the prior post.

It really is designed to accomplish what you want to do and just works much easier then trying to fool the Windows installs.

Make sure to get the update patch to 7.04 from the vcom website. Also buy the retail version versus the download digital version.

Hope that helps.
