    The Problem
I have designed an Excel XP Workbook using some of the features found in the Analysis Toolpak. I created these in an English version. The Workbook is to be distributed world-wide including Germany and the Netherlands.

The problem arises in that the German and Dutch version has some local language codes rather than English (which most other worldwide versions have). Therefore, some functions created in an English version will not work with the Dutch or German Version

Can anyone provide some guidance on how I can resolve the problem?

I’m not sure if that helps, but have you thought of trying it with microsoft office MUI? Here you’d install office as an english version on all PCs everywhere then install the MUI on top of that. Users can then select the language with which they want to use office. Possibly the code created in english will then also work on the germanized Office, as opposed to generic German office which gets installed normaly on localized PCs.

I have since found out the following:
Apparently you can install a Dutch version and have the description of buttons, tabs commands etc translated into say english or langauge of choice. However, you can not change the Script language, which is partially Dutch and English in a Dutch version. There ae a few select countries taht have Script code in their local language embedded in the local versions. The Add-In toolpaks etc and some other VBA code does not work, with an original english version. The MUI is only designed so that english versions can be viewed in the local language of choice.

Internatioanl operting companies, shoudl take note, that they should only buy teh english vesion + the MUI pack, as this will give global interaction between spreadsheet.
