    multiple calendar views in Outlook 2000

    My organization has numerous departments which would like to have individual calendars but which we can merge into one. Can this be done in Outlook and how do I do it?

      The answer can be found in a little used term that is commonly called synchronization. You can merge Outlook Calendars regardless of the total number or names of your calendars. You can do this by logging on to a Web Site called http://www.visto.com or http://www.briefcase.com (same site). They even provide you with the software. I have used it and it is easy to install and setup. There are also many options to choose from in terms of synchronization as well as providing you access to your calendars 24/7.

      I hate to offer another site but look at http://www.slipstick.com. It is a repository for exchange and outlook info not a software house.

      They offer advise and other peoples products that work with exchange and outlook. We found a product there called Global Calendar from Complete Software (www.completesoftware.dk). It syncronizes individuals calendars into a group calendar but, it appends the user name to the event so you can see who belongs to the event(i.e. [jimK]:dr appoint instead of dr appoint).

      I found a download on the Microsoft website that may help you. Browse their site, and go into their Download Center. Perform a Keyword search, and enter “Outlook 2000 Multi-Calendar Viewer”, and download the file. It will allow you to view up to 6 different calendar in one window. I have not tried it yet, but maybe it’s what your looking for.
