multiple Office version install

On an NT Workstation, I tried to install Excel 2000 (already had Office 97 Pro on machine). The addition caused problems with Outlook and Access 97, so I uninstalled the Excel 2000 and Office 97 and just reinstalled Office 97. Did not fix the problems! I cannot open Access 97, I get an access violation error, and I get two missing dll errors when I open Outlook (though it does open). Have done numerous uninstalls and reinstalls to no avail. Any ideas how I can just get back to where I started with just Office 97 on the machine with no errors???
