Multiple prompts for driver installation

Each time I try starting Win98 on one of my (LAN)hosts, there are six different prompts to install a driver(an existing one) for a single REALTEK ethernet adapter. Lately, this host has been off its own workgroup list, and hasn’t been able to browsethe LAN till now.

Windows troubleshooter hasn’t been able to solve this problem.

Any other troubleshooting tips? Please let me know.
