My Career is in total chaos

By Prem.Rajani ·
I've done my BE in Computer Science & Engineering. I've 3+yrs experience as a programmer. For past 1 yr I am freelance programmer trying hard to find a decent n secured job. I was lucky enough to get a project which was for 6 months. Since August 2003 I'm sitting idle. Im fully confused as to wat to do now, whether to look for a better job or pursue higher studies. I develope projects using VB as front end and SQL Server as back end. I know other few languages but dont have practical exp. So wat should I do. I have my resume posted in almost most of good job sites like monster, jobstreet, josahead, yahoo!careers etc. but still no luck. If I pursue higher studies will it help me in my careers. And if yes wat should I take MS or MBA?

I shutter at the prospect of suguesting MSCE but first off you must have A+ cert. Most university BE computer science courses barely scratch the surface on A+ from both the hardware and software angles. Companies like to know that their IT professionals aren't reduced to blabbering idiots when the pc or op system fail. After that, you can go the RHCE (linux/unix/sco) or MSCE (microsoft) route to add to your credentials in stages.

If you don't have a particular certification but are studying for it your can boost your resume by listing it as course wrok in progress.

Anyone in the profession will tell you...

McDonald's is always hiring.. they pay and feed you.... always a buffer for hard times, don't hold your head too high that you cannot live healthy or hurt your family.
