I have a small problem with my HP dv5220us laptop running Windows Media Center 2005 with all applicable security updates.
What happens is the PC boots up, but when it gets to the Windows XP boot screen, it automatically reboots the PC, and the rebooting process occurs again, but there is also a problem of my screen having two split images.
For example, it will boot into windows or safe-mode with 4 desktop images on the screen — if and whenever it does boot.
The problem is that it hardly ever boots right into windows, I have to ctrl-alt-del to reboot and have a single screen and try to’Start Windows Normally.”
I do not know what the problem is, but this occurs a alot. It has happened before, and I reinstalled Windows about a week ago, but I’m having the same problem. And the problem get worse ans worse. Sometimes it takes 1 or 2 cycles of rebooting, sometimes more that 20.
If anyone has any ideas or additional questions, please feel free to reply.
