mySQl to sql server migration

By neil30076 ·
Does anyone have experience using DTS to transform a mySQL4.1 database to SQL Server 2000.
SQL server 2000 enterprise manager refuses to connect to the mySQL db via mySQL ODBC 3.51, and throws a 'serious error has occured msg' each time. ODBC admin runs and test connects ok.
Any ideas?

do a db dump, with full create and sql inserts from the mysql db.
then run the created file on the m$ sql server as an sql query.
entire db created and filled.

Well neither of them is exactly standard, so

to be quite honest I wouldn't even have tried.
I'd have dumped mysql to text and imported from it then squared it up with sqlserver itself with a few scripts and may be a stored procedure or two.
