I have an 1995 old accounting programme and it is called AL-MUHASEB ALARABI version 2. the programmer died three yrs ago and we no longer have the password actually it was lost in a formating process, so is there a way to resolve this problem and how?Thanks

Sorry, you're out of luck

You could hire someone to reverse engineer the software and see if the password was indeed hard coded into it. However, I doubt they'll find anything. Chances are, the password is in the data file and you can't open it without that password. If you didn't take care to not forget/loose that password, you're out of luck.

Quite frankly, I find it difficult to believe that you've used this software along with the password for nearly 14 years now, and all of a sudden you've forgotten what it was. So, the standard TR response for 'forgotten passwords' applies here.

TR members do not assist in password recovery or removal, period, end of story.

You'll need to hire someone, possibly a consultant to start with, to reverse engineer the software and look for a back door left by the original programmer.

you need to find the password or hire someone to crack it.
The developer died, however is there another way to obtain the info? If not, then you are SOL and should have had the information/password stored for future use if needed.
