#name? in a form field.

By jmoden ·
I have an Access 97 Database with an auto populate date field. One of my users has #name? in the date field instead of present date. Other computers it shows up fine. any ideas out there to solve this.

Every now and again I see Access pull this glitch, usually in a report. To fix I delete the field, then add a new field and set the control source back to =Date().

Good Luck

1. Open the form in Design View.
2. Double click the problem field to open it's Properties window.
3. Set the "Control Source" property to the underlying field you need.
4. Chance the Name property to match (if it doesn't already).
