NAS access problems

Have just installed a buffalo link station on my network

the aim is to allow access to friends and family to photographs etc.

is there a way to allow them acces to the nas and is there a way to create a web site gallery type site to allow them to see the photos on the network??

this is served from the belkin ‘n’ router.

any help is appreciated, as if this doesnt work the item was purchased under false pretences

cheers
M
