I need help with a problem with a speech recogniition program put out by “Naturally Speaking 7 Medical Solution” I don’t know if anyone in the MIS or IT field (Hospitals) have experience this problem and found a solution. We have a application called Patient1 from MISYS which they intergrated with Dragon NaturallySpeaking 7.2 by company called Voicebrook. Problem: When the Radiologist double clicks to open the final report field, it automatically opens Microsoft Word Application for dictation. The Radiologist dictates into MS Word through the speech recongnition program (VoiceBrook), there is a long delay for about says 8 minutes or more before it puts its in MS Word and also the computer freezes up forcing the user to have to reboot the computer. Basically, I’ve tried to improved the performance of the machine by doing a Scan Disk and Defragment and Removal of any Adware on the computer, and still no change or improvement of the speech recongnition program. Question: Is there anyway possilbe to speed up when the Radiologist is dictating and when MS Word is receiving the information. I will take any suggestion at this point.
