Need Help with ACER Aspire 3000LC1 Problem

My laptop goes blank and then it poweres off after 8 minutes of it being blank. When I hit it, the screen shows but then it goes back blank and then shut off… What should I do?

I you are actually hitting your laptop, odds are you have created an intermittent connection. You could have fractured a solder fillet, on knocked a connector loose.

As to the base problem of it shutting off after 8 minutes, that could be as simple as power save settings and a weak battery.

It could also be that the laptop has overheated or the cooling fan has stopped working.

Other than the power save settings, there is not much you can do unless you have electronics training and the proper tools for the job.
