Need to enable the hidden Administrator account in Windows 7

By yesnut12 ·
I have a user with a Windows 7 laptop that has the hidden Administrator account disabled and no other users with admin rights. I need to be able to unjoin and join this computer to the network, but don't have a user with admin privileges to do that. Is there a utility out there that will allow a user with standard privileges to enable the hidden Administrator account or create an account with admin privileges?

Thanks for your help!

Try safemode, which uses a built in administrator account, and use it to create a real admin account.

Otherwise, re-install Windows.

Don't forget the password if you have set one at time of install.
