Nero, burning ROM hell..

Ive had several problems with Nero Burning Rom, quite possibly the worst designed burning program ever. I have Windows XP HE and an internal CD&DVD burner, which also operates as my D:// (CDROM). Of cource, Nero cannot see the burner, so I cannot burn anything to cd-r’s. I know how to fix the external burner problem, but the internal one I have no idea how to fix to make Nero recognise my internal cdrom/cd and dvd burner. This computer is virtually brand new, there is no excuse why nero is not seeing it. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, PLEASE let me know. Thank you so much
