We got several NetApp SCSI drive shelves from a going out of business company. One of them turned out to be a FC9 fiber channel shelf with 7 36.5GB Seagate drives. Has anyone successfully tried using one of these with a Dell server? We have a QLogic SLA2200F HBA and several fiber/copper adapters and a 1M fiber cable (new)and while the card shows no errors at boot, it does not detect the drives. The array self checks OK. The cable is a new Cables to Go cable. Does the drive shelf require a terminator of some type like a SCSI unit would? ANy help would be appreciated.
