NetBios Name

How do i control any non Domain Names not to show on the Microsoft WIndows Network window.

When we browse through the Netwrok Places, Windows Network Window, any PC that are not part of the Domain and it is connected to our Network the word workgroup comes up.

is there anyway to only show the Domain name for the site

any comments are appreciated

If you're running Win2000 or XP you can go into the network card properties>TCP/IP properties>advanced>WINS and "Disable NetBios over TCP/IP"

Thanks for your comments, but we need to still be able to browse by name.

Disabling the Netbios does not allows to browse through the MS Network Window

How about hiding these Workgroup machines from the list?
On each machine that is in the Workgroup, open a Command Prompt and type in:
NET CONFIG SERVER /HIDDEN:YES

Then let a couple of days for the Windows Browser list to sort itself out, and those machines will be gone.

The Hidden option is perfect, i got more than one PC on different workgroups.

is there anyway i can run the command on the GC servers and hide the workgroups.

in other words hide other workgroups from our Domain, so one Domain will be the onlyone showin on the Network Places.
