Netscape and Outlook Web Access

By jhahn ·
Is there a patch for netscape that allows a user to log into Out Look Web Access for Microsoft Exchange? I know that Netscape sends a clear text password, I want a patch that will send the password with a NT Challenge Responce encrytion.

I have been able to get it to work on Solaris, but I am using the 128bit Encryption version. I would look getting that high encryption version installed on your system.

One last thing. Make sure your clients understand to accept the certificate if presented - tell them it will say such-and-such (you put in your name, contact info etc when creating the cert) so they don't get freaked out if they know it's not from VeriSign etc.

Ok. One more. Thawte has a $125/yr OFFICIAL cert you can buy online at www.thawte.com and an international 128-bit SuperCert to...

One more point. The Netscape plug-in I've heard references was a commercial (and paid for) plugin, not free that's why I didn't put much effort into finding it since ssl is so simple.
