network cable unplugged

by andrei.bidi . Updated 16 years, 10 months ago

hi,

i recently bought one motherboard asrock 775i65G. and i have a problem in setting up a network connection. i keep receiving the message: a network cable is unplugged, while i am trying to set-up a pc-to-pc connection.

i’ve done following:
1. changed the cables (3 cables), for all same result
2. checked the cables to connect another two computers (it’s working)
3. updated the drivers -> no change
4. checked and configured in \Advanced\Network Address to it’s proper value -> no change, same behaviour -> a network cable it’s unplugged
5. bought a new network adapter, plugged in, and … same behaviour -> a network cable it’s unplugged

thanks in advance for any kind of help or suggestion you might have …
