Network logging on xp

here is my question, i have two XP pc's one being used as a file server. when i try and connect to it from another XP pc it brings up the login screen but the user name is grayed out so you can not pick the user name and password to connect with.

any feed back would be grate.

User accounts

Do you have accounts setup on the server for the other computers and the account rights set so they can do what they need to?

yes all user have account on the box

The Solution

After more digging, I found the answer:

Click Start | My Computer | Tools | Folder Options | View.

Scroll to the bottom of the list of advanced settings and un-check Use Simple File Sharing (Recommended).

Click OK.

You'll be all set.
