Network Problems

by gene_guy . Updated 25 years, 7 months ago

I have a peer to peer etwork,win989se,10/100 hub. We are using JS pos software. The problem being that we keep on getting corrupt data files, when I change the hub to a 10bps the problem goes away but the system slows down to much. I have changed the 10/100 hub with a new one, same problem. The software has a utility that reports any changes that make it work better. One of the suggestions is that the:Checking TCP/IP keep alive timer parameters that affect xfServer
KeepAliveTime not found; defaulting to 120 minutes
CAUTION: We recommend setting KeepAliveTime < 120min for xfServer TcpMaxDataRetransmissions = 5 CAUTION: Setting may be too low for 100BASEt networks I/O errors and xfServer report 10054 errors can result from low settings Any suggestions? Thanks
