I have a laptop running XP service pack 2 running on my network. I can access shares through the ip address of other computers but not \\computername. When I am on a different computer I cannot access shares on the laptop through \\computername but I can through IP. On the Vista network screen I can see the laptop but again cannot connect to it. I also have another xp machine that is running just fine so I’m pretty sure it’s a problem on the laptop.
Can anyone help?
