network sharing problem

By andrew ·
im connected to a domain, and i have problem with file sharing.

i already checked the domain name or the workgroup they belong, but when i try to access the shared folder from user1, its asking for a password and that would be the administrator username and password and vice versa.

is that with the ip configuration that i put in every pc? or do i have to enable the DHCP and put the DNS?

after that i can acces the shared folder but in the morning the same problem appeared again.

any help would be appreaciated.

Further details?

Just to get a better understanding of the problem. Is this share on a file server? The domain controller?

If this is on a server on the domain, it may just be that you need to change the permissions for that share. From what you've said, the only username and password that can have access is the administrator rather than user1. Upon reboot the PC will attempt to use user1 to connect again instead of admin. If you change the permissions this should solve this. Alternatively you could map a network drive which will give you the option to "Connect using a different username"

If this isn't the problem, try and give as much detail as possible n I'll see what I can do.
