Okay, my brother used to do the networking stuff but he passed away last week. Since then I talked with someone who said my brother had switch that he was going to set up in their office. This guy has both Cable and DSL hooked up in his office. He was describing to me that this switch would tell which connection was faster and automatically switch over and use that connection at that time. My brother never told me about this before he passed so I don't know exactly what he's talking about any help would be appreciated.

What is required is what is known as a dual-wan router

An example of a dual-wan router is a Cisco model RV042 or a Netgear FVS336G
