    Networking Setup Question

    by allreeds ·

I have a question that was posed to me by a teacher (I am currently studying Computer Network Management) and I seem to be lost in trying to answer it. Can anyone supply the diagram of the network and switches needed for this question. Thanks in advance for the help.

You are a network administrator on a large network with three different network segments with five switches each attached to your administrative network that has five switches, the largest of which is the root bridge of the network. Draw a diagram of this topology identifying how STP would work. Which ports would be blocked and which switches would be the designated bridges for each attached segment? Be sure to use some of the switches as redundant switches and identify them as such.

I have been taking classes online, and the book that I was sent for this module was the WRONG book….I had contacted the school and they finally sent me the right book. We are at the end of the module, and I got the book yesterday (Tuesday). I have tried looking up the procedure for creating the network, and also researching it online. At this point, I just wanted some help with the one question, and didn’t think I would have to buy the answer to the question.
