New Trainer Certification

By graham.moody ·
I have been recently appointed as the
in-house IT trainer for my company. My role involves the training of all staff on our applications (mainly MS Office). I have no experience as a trainer but have good knowledge on how the company operates and how we need to use our existing applications. I would like to become formally certfied and would like advice on the best way to go about this, what is available and to what level.

New Trainer Certification

As far as a Certified Trainer, there is CTT, Certified Technical Trainer. You have to take a test and submit a video. Check out http://www.chauncey.com/ and look at Trainer Certification.

If you are only going to be teaching MS Apps, you may want to become certified in them. Microsoft has a certification called MOUS. Take a look at http://www.microsoft.com/trainingandservices/default.asp?PageID=mcp&PageCall=mous&PageLoc=training&PageMenu=mix
