Here is my dilemma I have a network card that does not work any more, I have checked all the settings everything seems to be in place all the right settings in all the right files and scripts, no major error messages except. When I do an ifconfig I get no response it just goes back to the prompt when I do a netstat -rn the resulting table is empty but i cannot understand why? Linuxconf is fine and Netcfg.
So I put a second card in 3com 3c905c and still the same seems to recognise it yet nothing else. My modules.conf file has the aliases defined.
Sorry I am running Redhat 7.0 on a Compaq Deskpro EN SFF embedded nic is an eepro100 if this helps.
I have searched the forum but to no avail.
