I decided to look to see when the next i-Pod draw was (TODAY!!! I'll be home for that call)

I decided to view the winners profile, no comments, but noticed that the question he had responded to was "AUTO CLOSED BY TECH REPUBLIC" and all answers were awarded the points!

YAY! Is this NEW? Is this an issue of the most logical suggestions finally coming together with a solution?

Well done, thought I'd never see it and now I don't care WHO won the i-POd!

The Winner

Click on the Win an i-Pod ad, then you will see (at the bottom) a list of winners for the different draws.

The last winner has a question he's answered (View Complete Profile) and THAT question was Auto Closed by Tech Republic due to inactivity (people not rating replies) and the answers were all automatically accepted.

This is something we've been suggesting for, well...quite a while anyway. TR just keeps coming through lately, I even got my MUG!!

It's pretty cool, and if you're referring to me, remember I was confused for David Cassidy once, no wthat's gotta be good for something.

I was a cute teen who got old and pissed off, that's all.

The truth of the matter is

by HAL 9000 Moderator In reply to Actually

That the person who confused you for David Cassidy was really drunk at the time and stoned off their face they even thought each and every blade of grass {no not the stuff that they where smoking but what was growing out of the ground} looked like David Cassidy.

Does he term RIPPED TO THE EYEBALLS mean anything to you?

Col ]:)

Scottish Irish ancestry, kinda pain in the butt attitude sometimes.....born in could be my daughter! Yikes I am that old.

By asking that question you open up the great debate of the early 70s. That was which was better musical group, the Patridge Family or the Brady Bunch?

The Patridge Family had Shirley Jones, a musical star of stage and screen, who married a singer in real life(Jack Cassidy) and begat sons David and Shaun. David gets a job(charecter name David) due to his mom(who plays a single mother(named Shirley) - how controversial in the 70s) on the TV show, and after the show is over, spends a little time on the cover of a few teen girl magazines. Younger brother Shaun also finds his way onto teen mag covers, and lands a gig as one of the Hardy Boys on the TV show of the same name. Shaun went on to a career as a director.

David does have a short career making a few pop albums. He tried a comeback about 5 years ago and did have one charted song. Susan Dey, who played David's sister on the show at least had one other hit series, LA Law.

On the Brady Bunch, the female star is Florence Henderson, who also has a musical theatre background. The Brady Bunch family band was more thrown together, rather than being an integral part of the plot as in the Partridge Family. Someone's publicity machine thought up the "conflict" to get some press. No one from the Brady Bunch to my knowledge ever had anything to do with the music industry ever again.
